Sharing Time is a much-anticipated part of guild meetings. Members are eager to share their latest projects with the group, who are always ready to "ooh" and "ahh" over each other's efforts.

THE HOLIDAY SEASON IS UPON US AND IT'S TIME TO CELEBRATE!

There's nothing more precious, thoughtful, sentimental, and FUN than a handmade gift that requires time and thought.

 

We sure hope you'll come and celebrate with us!

How Does It Work?

  • To participate, Members bring one handmade scarf that is gift wrapped.

  • Participants draw a number to determine his/her turn to pick from the wrapped scarves.

  • Swap Scarves will be opened together at Sharing Time.

 

Submission Date & Location

Please bring your handmade, gift-wrapped scarf to the TSGSD Holiday Potluck & Members Meeting.

Creative Guidelines

  • The dimensions: 55 to 70 inches wide by 63 to 50-70 inches long. 

  • Scarf must be: comfortable, drapery, and soft to wear around the neck.

  • Scarf must contain at least 80% of natural fiber.

  •  Scarf must be 80% handmade. 

  • The scarf can be a purchased handmade of good quality.

  • Recycled Fabrics.

  • May include text.

  • May use multiple colors.

  • May use embellishments such as beads/buttons/charms, gems, seashells, wood, ribbons, and decorative trims.

  • No artificial materials such as plastic.

 

Fiber Fabrication

Crochet, Felt, Lace, Knit, Woven, and or any combination indicated here

 

Dyeing/Printing

Eco Printing, Digital Printing, Gelli Printing, Immersion Dyeing, Heat Transfer, Low Water Immersion dyeing, Paint on, Resist Printing, Screen Printing, Stenciling, Shibori, Sun Dye, Wood, Block Printing.

 

Aesthetic Finishes (Fabric Manipulation)

  • Burn-out/Devoré.

  • Embroidery Bead Work/Crewel//Kantha/Sashiko/free-form.

  • Felting.

  • Pleating/Crinkling/Smocking/Trapunto.

  • Punch Needle.

  • Boro/Mending/Quilting
